The chamber fills progressively
Cake develops from the cloth surfaces into the chamber. Feed distribution, particle characteristics, and media condition affect filling uniformity.
Indicators should not be read in isolation
Pressure, feed flow, filtrate clarity, time, and discharge pattern help evaluate the process. A single indicator is insufficient to conclude that chambers filled evenly.
Cake reflects the entire process
Wet, uneven, sticky, or difficult-to-release cake may relate to feed, conditioning, cloth, pressure, cycle time, or machine configuration. Diagnosis should consider the complete process.
