The role of sensors and interlocks
Plate position, system pressure, pump and valve status, emergency stops, and safety devices provide sequence inputs. Interlocks prevent the next step when prerequisite conditions are not met.

Zaitunindo project documentation shows that a Filter Press can integrate with feed pumps, squeezing pumps, instrumentation, compressed air, cloth washing, and cake discharge according to system scope.
Commissioning determines sequence quality
Functional tests, rotation checks, valve verification, interlock simulation, wet tests, and timing adjustments are required before routine operation. Setpoints must follow the design and actual site conditions.
